Since 1916, the American people have entrusted the National Park Service with the care of their national parks. With the help of volunteers and park partners, they safeguard these more than 400 places and share their stories with more than 275 million visitors every year.
As the Lead UX Designer, Karen worked alongside National Park Service employees to design the user experience and information architecture for a social network and resource library that provides access to informal training and DOI LMS content for over 22,000 park service employees. Upon its completion, the portal will include information on courses, articles, social communities of practice, and libraries that can be organized by topics and competencies. Please note: design comps produced by another firm.
